The Virago Star Owners Club (VSOC) was first formed for Yamaha XV Virago motorbike owners in 1993, when the Yamaha Virago started to be fazed out, the Yamaha Star range was also added. The Virago range includes XV 535 Virago, XV 750 Virago, XV 1100 Virago and all import variations. The Star range includes Dragstar, Road Star, Royal Star, Venture Star, V Star, Wild Star and all the import models from the Yamaha Custom collection. The club has a UK membership of over 1400 members in 20 centres. The national club's website is www.vsoc.org.uk.
The Yorkies or Centre 5 covers the whole of the Yorkshire area. We hold three evening meetings (in Wakefield West Yorkshire, Selby and Driffield North Yorkshire) each month to talk about all aspects of motorbiking, arrange rideouts and organise rallies away. During the year we have a regular Sunday rideout, attend a wide variety of motorbiking events and various rallies throughout the UK and Europe either at local or national level.
Currently within the Yorkshire area there are over 80 members with a host of different bikes from the Yamaha Custom range these include 43 Virago, 13 XVS 1100 Dragstar, 17 XVS 650 Dragstar models and various over motorbikes owned by both members and associate members alike.
