Friday 18th June 2010
Another weekend away camping for the Yorkies, everyone who was going had made their way down to Ross-On-Wye. The weather was great to ride down, we went in two groups one early morning and the other at 10:00am. The early group was there for 11:00am, booked ourselves in and then pitched up the tents in the area which was reserved for us then it was waiting time for the others to join us. What can we do while we wait I know lets go up into the town to do some sightseeing so off we go.

We are walking around, we could see the men were getting bored so we suggested to them to go to the super market and back to camp or to the pub while we went shopping - yes you guest it was the pub, so we went shopping. After we had done, we went to collect them and walk back to camp calling at the supermarket where we met up with Terry, Paul Marshall and Ken stocking up on the essentials.

Back at camp we all gathered round chatting then Mr .B and Debbie turned up with their friends. We were sat watching them put their tent up. Poor Mr. B he brought the wrong tent and a massive air bed that they had to squeeze into their tiny tent, manage to do it with minimum room to spare then it was time to get ready for the night out called at a couple of pubs. Later in the evening we all decide to go back to camp as it was a long day. We sat out drinking til you went to bed, we did have some entertainment by a couple who was first time campers - I will just say never get undress with a light on and on that note it was getting late so time for bed.

Another day, what do we have in store today? First breakfast and then a ride out organized by Terry at 11:00am first stop was at a place call Forest of Dean to have a look round and to see the steam train come in and to have a look round. Following Terry sat nav we ended up doing 3 u turns till we we found a pub for something to eat. It was a bit of a wait but we all got fed I bet that's the most they have had in there. Then after we had eaten we took another ride out to a Monastery can't remember the name! We had a look round, did some buying then it was off to another location called Simmons Yak. There we had to pay to park up one ticket per two bikes. We had a look round, watched the boats and the canoes on the river then it was back to camp - forgot to mention Phil & Fiona came for the day when we got back to camp the ones who didn't come on the ride out went up to the town.

We had tea rest, had a barbie Phil & Fiona decided to say the night then it was time to get ready for the night. Bobbo & Mr. B got dress up as Arabs calling themselves Sheik, Rattle and Roll up to town we go called in at the first pub. In there they were playing skittles on a full length lane in the pub. Jackie, Maria and Fiona had a go and also giving a helping hand to the players who quite enjoyed it. At the end we went with them to their local night club where everyone had a great time right to the end they even played Delilah at the end we bid our farewell to the locals and set off back to the campsite to bed.

Elaine and David were staying elsewhere for a couple nights the rest of us bid our farewell and set of home in the glorious sunshine.
