Friday 3rd April
This is guys, the start of the season for all you bikers out there, this is where the fun begins starting with this weekends JumpStart Party hosted by Centre 6.
Our posse made their way down either in a group or one their own.
We had a mishap before we set off, brand new trailer with a flat tyre after a couple of hours we managed to set off. Hurrah got there in pretty good time to find some of the Yorkies were all ready there and they had got a pitch for all the Yorkies. We waited for others to turn up and everyone helped others with their tents as darkness was drawing in and then the fun begins i.e. food, booze, a good disco and a warm welcome to all from the Centre 6.
Prices were really reasonable as most know the night was full of fun and laughter meeting old and new friends and partying on till you drop. Once again our own Bev Bailey was on hand with his camera snapping at random here, there and everywhere as the night came to an end we made our way back to the tents. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
Saturday 4th April
Now guys this is where the fun begins as you read on you will know why.
Today started with a ride out to Blackpool, led by Ivan. Good day spent by the Yorkies first of all we went down to the pleasure beach enquired about the price and when told the famous war cry "OWMUCH!" rang out, so we all decided we were not paying the price so it was on to get some lunch at a reasonable price at a cafe our scout Jackie found. Once we all ate our lunch it was back to sightseeing, first stop was next door where we all bought hats - 'see photos'. Jackie managed to get the owner to join the VSOC now we will have to see which Centre he will join.
Then on for more sightseeing myself and Jackie re-enact the Alan Bradley sketch on the tramline holding the clatter, then it was on to the fun fair with more photos taken, then it was the ride back to the campsite for tea, shower and summons to the club at 8. Maggie had mention the Yorkies had won some money on the Grand National so cans were bought for everyone.
Halfway during the evening awards were given out for allsorts we came second to the Midlands for the most turned out, they felt sorry for us and brought us 3 bottles of wine - thanks guys.
Now comes the juice bits, Angie's birthday was a stripper but to Angie's dismay or joy as she had 2 strip shows first one was the Yorkies act, yes folks our Tez and Kev re -enact the song raindrops keep falling on my head starkers on a bicycle. Tez covered his modesty with trunks to a shocked Jackie see photos for the true story!!!
As the night progresses and Angie got the second stripper to wow her and boy did he do that, more photos taken with Angie. The night continued till the early hours then went back to your tents to sleep the events off.
Sunday 5th April
Booze warn off to the sound of the generator at 8 o'clock we were suppose to be off the pitch by 10-30 but that never happen. Slowly the tents were going down and packed away, bid our farewell to Centre 6 and made our way home.
So forgot to mention the band were brilliant on the night, lots off laughter and fun and oh yes a lot of mooning!
