VSOC Trip to Columbia - Sept 2010

"Just to introduce myself and let you all have my contact details. I am Trevor Bridgwood, Deputy Centre Rep of Centre 9, The Lost Riders. I have volunteered to act as the UK point of contact for the Colombia Rally in 2010. I'm not sure exactly how this will work but at least this is a starting point. You will already know that the YCC of Colombia have invited the VSOC to a rally in Colombia next year. I know from C9 that a lot of members have already stated that they would like to go. As a starting point can you let me know names and a contact e-mail address for those in your centre that would like to go on the trip so that I can get an idea of numbers. From what I have seen so far the Rally is to be in September, flights are likely to be in the region of £6-800.

In an e-mail from Carlos in Colombia. The dates for the rally have now been set. We are to arrive in Bogota on Wed 01 or Thu 02 Sep 2010. We will then start the tour on Friday 03 Sep 2010 and arrive back in Bogota on Sun 12 Sep 2010. Flights back to the UK will be on Mon 13 or Tue 14 Sep 2010.

I have contacted a company that specialises in group travel and they should have their quotation back to me in the next 48 to 72 hours. As soon as I have that I will let you know what the best price is that I can source for flights. Please contact all yours members who have shown an interest, let them know the dates and then let me have a confirmed list of names with contact details."

2010 Events

Hi all

Firstly due to a cancellation there is now a space on our annual Yorkies holiday to France. For the price of £358 for 2 people and 1 bike (or if you have your own holiday insurance it is £289.00) this includes a large caravan on the site in France - all facilities of the park / pools / restaurants / bars / supermarket etc decking to the caravan - a bedding pack with towels and all ferry charges.

There is only one vacancy so if you want to join the others going on May 1st 2010 phone me ASAP.

Just received the flyer for the Lancs Jumpstart which will also be the wedding of Phil and Angie, there is a limit of 200, and as the Yorkies like "a bit of a do" so I suggest you get your tickets early. I will be collecting 20 tickets on Sunday 8th November so again phone me as this event is always well supported. Lets be part of another brilliant bikers wedding. The date to put in your diary is 16th - 18th April 2010 and all for £6 a ticket.

Paul's Funeral

A massive thanks to all the friends that turned out in awful weather for the funeral of our friend and member Paul The Trike.

Thanks to Barrie C4, Terry and Phil - lost riders, MAG wakefield, Yorkshire trikers, bruce and members from Pro Custom and the Yorkies. Janet and her family and friends appreciated your attendance and wishes to pass on her thanks to you all.

A very emotional day being close to the accident scene and sharing today with the friends and relations.

Paul's Funeral Arrangements

Hi,

Having spoken with Janet's family, bikes and all members will be welcome to attend Paul's funeral. The funeral will be on Thursday 5th November 2pm at Ardsley Crematorium Barnsley S71 5EH on the A635 Barnsley Road.

For those wishing to attend on their bike please meet at The Old Post Office Public House - Huddersfield Rd (A637) between 12 - 1230 on Thursday 5th Nov (This is 1 minute off junction 38 M1) S75 4DE.

The Yorkies hope that you will be able to attend and be of comfort to Janet and her family.
